On 21 November 2024, NOTICED, in collaboration with the Freshfields Asian Affinity Network, Clifford Chance, and A&O Shearman, hosted its inaugural Qawwali Night in the City.
Qawwali, a form of devotional singing originating from South Asia, accompanied by the harmonium, tabla, and dholak, provided a rich, immersive experience with the powerful and emotive performances transporting attendees to the heart of South Asian culture.
The event was not just about music; it was a celebration of cultural heritage and community spirit. Attendees, many of whom donned traditional attire, enjoyed a variety of South Asian food and non-alcoholic drinks, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
The evening was a resounding success, with tickets sold out well in advance.
