As part of Black History Month, Baker McKenzie will be hosting a stem cell donation drive. The event is held during Black History Month as those from the BAME communities are 3 times less likely to find a donor match than those with white Northern European backgrounds. The event will take place on Tuesday 16 October and will have the following format:
- 11:00 – 11:45 am: 45 minute presentation by DKMS and a speaker who is of an ethnic minority background and is currently seeking a donor; and
- 12:00 – 14:00 pm: Donation drive (which is a ten minute process involving a mouth swab and filling out the relevant forms).
